3 of the best places to brunch on Abbeydale Road

Abbeydale Road is one of the most vibrant and up and coming parts of the city. It’s full of total gems like independent bakeries and bars, antique shops and restaurants. If you live near-by or frequently visit, you’ll already know what a cool part of the city Abbeydale Road is.

Here we take a look at 3 places on Abbeydale Road that are perfect for Brunch. In future blog posts we will also explore the best places on Abbeydale Road for drinks and shopping.

Forge Bakehouse

Forget just Abbeydale Road, this might be one of the best places to brunch in Yorkshire. Sheffieldites have been flocking here since 2012.
Expect everything to be fresh here. No bread or pastries are made off site. In fact, the bakers, chefs and baristas make everything from scratch. Don’t worry either if you have lectures during the day: brunch is served all day from 9am to 4.30pm.

Also, if you are ever looking for something a bit different to do – Forge Bakehouse offer bread making classes! Learn how to bring the bakery into the kitchen.

Puck‘A’Food

Puck’A’Food offers something a bit different. Yes, you can get one of the best brunches going in Sheffield, but all of the dishes here are a fusion of flavours that are inspired from the Middle East. This is breakfast and brunch with a twist. Take a look at some of the dishes on Instagram and Facebook. You may want to take a visit sooner rather than later!

This one is new as it’s only been open around six months. We recommend you give Puck’A’Food a try and show your support to the local area and local businesses.

Krydda

Krydda

Krydda (another fairly new kid on the block) brings Sweden to Abbeydale Road, adding to the variety available in the area!
Although the menu doesn’t specify brunch directly, breakfast is served from 9am until 12pm….. That’s brunch.
There is so much to choose from on the breakfast menu and Krydda bake their own pasteries and smoke their own meat! As with all of our listings, Krydda offers both a vegetarian and vegan menu.
Go visit!
