4 must-try places to eat on London Road

Sheffield is a big place. 518,090 live in our city, according to the census of 2011. In this post, we want to focus in on a small area of Sheffield, right in the heart of the city which has so much to offer: London Road. Let’s take a look at four places on London Road that add to the allure of one of Sheffield’s most famous streets.

Amigos Mexican Kitchen

Amigos Mexican Kitchen is a small but lively place. Expect delicious Latin dishes, and a mix of street food favourites – including loaded burritos, quesadillas, fajitas and crunchy tacos.

We think this is certainly one to try, who doesn’t like Mexican food? Like all of the restaurants in our list, Amigos Mexican Kitchen boars excellent TripAdvisor reviews.

Zeugma

Zeugma proved to be so popular with the people of Sheffield that the owners decided to open a second! There is one at the top of London Road and one at the bottom!

Both of the Zeugma restaurants, aptly named Zeugma 1 and Zeugma 2 offer traditional open grilled Turkish food. If we had to choose, Zeugma might be our choice for lunch (as Zeugma 2 is situated no more than 400 metres from our office). We’ll let you know what it’s like!

Saigon68

Saigon68 brings traditional Vietnamese and South East Asian food to Sheffield. Saigon68 has been going strong on London Road now for a solid ten years!

You can expect Saigon68 to be open every day from 12 o’clock lunchtime until 11 pm. It’s situated halfway up London Road, near The Cremorne pub. There is both a restaurant and a takeaway menu if you can’t be bothered to leave the house!

Parthenonas

Our list wouldn’t be complete without an authentic Greek restaurant now would it? Sheffield has quite a few good Greek restaurants and Parthenonas appears to be no exception. Greek food by design means ‘Mediterranean’, so expect proper food and no ‘processed’ ingredients. Again, another restaurant that has being going from strength to strength for well over 8 years.
